 elcome to the Heart of America Miniature Equine website! Started by Lowell Boone, H.A.M.E. has the unique distinction of being the first AMHA sanctioned club in the United States. To say that Lowell Boone worked hard to organize the club would be an understatement. From well before the first meeting of 30 people in Peoria on February 1981, until the day he died, Lowell dedicated his life to his minis and the club.
